There are no prerequisites for our beginner level class which include: High Heel Fitness, Pole Fit, Stretching, Sexy Flow, Pole Level 1, and Hoop 101. All other classes require prior instructor approval.

You are not required to own a pole to take any of the classes. If you become serious about learning the art of pole dancing and do not have access to a pole, you may want to eventually purchase your own. We rent and sell poles!

No, our classes are designed for students of all sizes, flexibilities and levels. You don’t need to have dance experience to take this class.

There is no age or weight limit to take pole dancing classes. Under 18 years of age requires parental consent.

Yes, we don’t allow anybody that is not part of the Brass Ovaries Pole Dancing staff to watch. We also close all windows and doors.

No, there is absolutely no nudity in the class.

It depends on what you want to learn and how good you want to get. Some students find that 1 or 2 classes is all they really need, while others have studied with us for years. When learning pole dancing, please give yourself at least 3 or more classes to feel comfortable as a beginner. Practice, patience and hard work will pay off when learning this new skill.

Each student begins with Pole Level 1. In order to advance a level, you must be able to demonstrate a certain skill set to an instructor. With their permission, you may move on to the next level.

Pole dancing requires exposed skin to stick to the pole. Shorts, tank tops and sports bra work best. Acceptable footwear includes ballet shoes, athletic shoes or bare feet. Do not wear or apply lotions or oils before attending a pole class, as it will impede pole gripping and floor work abilities. Please remove all jewelry (rings, bracelets and watches) before class as it could pinch you and damage the pole.

Please note that we only allow heels for private lessons or our High Heel Fitness class. Make sure your shoes are not higher than 6 inches. Your shoes need to have a strap around your ankle so that you can balance better when you dance and not slip off your feet when on the pole. High heels are not permitted on the padded floor.

Bring your favorite music, cds or mp3 player, water bottle and a towel.

We ask that you are considerate of other students and arrive no more than 5 minutes before your class’s scheduled start time.

If you want to practice pole dancing the best option is to buy a removable pole designed for renters and home owners who do not want to make holes in the floor or ceiling. If buying a pole is not an option at this time, we do rent portable poles. Regular students can also rent pole practice time at our studio.

We offer private lessons and group classes.

That is up to you. If the group classes are scheduled at times which do not work for you, then private classes are the way to go. If you are planning a special performance, private lessons may get you to your goals sooner. Group classes are perfect for you and a couple of friends who want to explore the art of pole dancing together. Group classes are more economical but fill up fast.

If you sign up for a private one-on-one lesson or small private group classes offered at our studio, you will receive personalized attention with a class size of 1-3 people. If you sign up for a group class at our studio or at Forbidden Fruit you will receive moderate-high attention with a class size up to 10 people.

The Pole Studio is located at 4809-B S. Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78745. We are in the same parking lot as a car wash, so drive around back.

We book no more than 7 days in advance to allow every student equal opportunity to book a class. Our classes do fill up quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as the week opens up. If a class is full, you have the option of getting on a wait list.

To register for the group class offered at Forbidden Fruit class please call (512) 453-8090 for more information. To register for a small private group class (1-5 students) or a private one-on-one class please check out our Mind Body scheduler. Once we receive your payment your class time and date will be secured. All classes must be paid in full ahead of time. For bachelorette/private pole parties, a deposit of $200 is required to hold your spot.

ALL Group Classes are RSVP only with limited enrollment. Class payments are non–refundable, there is no cash or credit card refund. Classes may be made up within the following three months if canceled 24 hours in advance of class start time. (Please note: if you are using a Groupon Voucher or a Class Card the applicable dates stated on your voucher will still apply). Failure to cancel your class 3 hours in advance will result in a $30 cancellation fee and forfeiture of your opportunity to make up your class. Remember, by canceling in advance, you allow another student the opportunity to enjoy your spot in class. Late arrivals will result in a shortened appointment. Late arrivals beyond 10 minutes are considered cancellations, and the $30 fee will still apply.

Deposits for private parties are non-refundable, there is no cash or credit card refund. Private parties may be made up within the following three months if canceled 7 days in advance of the party start time. Failure to cancel your party 7 days in advance, will forfeit your opportunity to make up your party.

All private lessons must be paid for at the time of the appointment.  Payment for private lessons are non-refundable.  Private lessons may be made up within the following three months if canceled 48 hours in advance of the class start time.  (Please note: if you are using a private class card the applicable dates stated on your card will still apply.) Failure to cancel your party 48 hours in advance, will forfeit your opportunity to make up your class.

Gift Certificates are non-refundable. Failure to cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours in advance or a “no-show” on a gift certificate is considered used. Groupon certificates are non-refundable, failure to cancel or reschedule your appointment 3 hours in advance or a “no-show” on a Groupon is considered used. All memberships, class-packages, and party deposits are non-refundable. Gift Certificates and Class Pass cards that are lost or stolen will not be replaced. All sales are final.

Yes! Please email us or call us and we can fix you up. Once we receive your payment a gift certificate will be available for pick up or mailed to the address of your choice. Be sure to include the name of the recipient and if it is for a specific event.

Our services include experienced pole dancing artists available for (the most important should go first) live performances, photo shoots, music videos, movies, television, consultations, private parties and advance pole instruction. We also offer a “How To Strip for Your Partner” class which is designed to cover every aspect of the art of stripping for your lover, as well as a bunch of group classes.
