Miss Sophie

Miss Sophie is a sexy "Jack of All Trades." She has been acting, singing, and dancing ever since she can remember. Like many fellow starving artists, Miss Sophie began working at gentleman's clubs to finance her journey toward a BA in Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas, which she completed with honors in May of 2007. Brynn

Born amidst the cornfields of Minnesota, Brynn grew up with a passion for self-expression, choosing to explore mediums such as dance, gymnastics, and costume design from a very early age. Always impressed with the strength and sensuality veteran pole dancers seemed to effortlessly exude, Brynn honed in on her desire to become one! She sought out a studio in Minneapolis, and within months quite literally became obsessed with this form of exercise.

In September of 2009, Brynn loaded everything she could fit into her Honda Accord and took off for Austin, Texas. With a more extensive repertoire of tricks and a newfound appreciation for the pole, Brynn contacted the Brass Ovaries Studio. She immediately felt at home with the group of talented, down-to-earth women who shared her love for pole dancing, and after a couple of months Brynn was asked to perform and instruct as a Brass Ovary. Since then, she has shared the stage with a varied array of talented performers and bands. Always jumping at a chance to perform, Brynn can be found anywhere from raves, rock-and-roll shows, industrial nightclubs, variety circuses, pole competitions, and artist galleries, always choosing to integrate her unique costumes into her performance pieces.

Summer

Discovering pole dance fitness was such an amazing eye opener for Summer. As a mother of two, finding the time and desire to go the gym was a struggle. To realize that fitness can be exciting, sensual, and something to look forward to, was a feeling that she had not previously experienced.

Summer attributes pole dance fitness to transforming her into the strong, sexy, confident woman that she has become. As a student, she watched women of all ages start to feel sensual within their own skin. With a desire to bring these feelings to others, she began instructing in October 2009. She wanted to help other women discover the strength, beauty and grace that they all possess and sometimes find hard to express.

Ariel

For Ariel, dancing is like breathing. She grew up dancing in her living room and studying ballet in her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana. When her sister introduced her to the pole world back in 2008, she was immediately drawn to the unique style, grace, and athleticism of the sport. However, she was unable to be anything more than a sporadic dancer until last year. It started with a trip the USPDF West Coast Championship with her sister. After watching Natasha Wang and Amber Richard perform, she literally drove from the airport to Brass Ovaries for her first class with Brynn Route. Since then, she's been a permanent fixture in the studio and participated in her first ever competition. She currently teaches the Pole Art Choreography class and Stretching and Flexibility. She loves helping students develop fluidity and grace in their movements as well as confidence. Her style is heavily influenced by ballet and lyrical dance, although she loves hip hop, specifically twerking.

Lindsey

Growing up in San Antonio, Lindsey knew from a young age that Austin was the place for her. She moved here in 2006 with her cosmetology license and immediatley jumped behind the chair. Lindsey has a true passion and talent for hair as she managed the salon she was in as well as being able to travel to teach others tricks of the trade. With a background of 13 years of dance experience, in January of 2011 she came into Brass Ovaries and fell in love and was instantly addicted. Lindsey spent any time she wasn't doing hair, she was swinging around the pole! She won her first pole competition in September 2011 as the Miss Texas Pole Star Fitness Division. She is now performing with Brass Ovaries at venues all over town and you can always find her in the studio practicing and teaching classes!
